Where downloads go on iPhone and Android

Two platforms, two answers, and a one-step move into your gallery.

The download is identical on both. What differs is the folder it lands in and how you get it into the app you actually use.

On iPhone

Safari drops the file into Files under Downloads. Open it, tap share, then Save Video to move it into Photos where editing and AirDrop live.

On Android

Chrome saves to the Downloads folder and most gallery apps index it within seconds. If it doesn't appear, open it once from Files to trigger a media scan.

On mobile data

Sizes are listed per rung for exactly this reason. 720p is often the difference between a sensible download and an unpleasant bill.
